They simply stick their heads in the La Knight I Lack People Skills Shirt and hope they magically vanish. As long as the current clientele is too stupid to notice the competition they should be able to limp along and hopefully survive. This doesn’t sound a very successful business model to me.Do they realize how shabby the entire customer experience at a Sears is compared to all of the ferocious competition out there? Probably not. If they did, you would think that they, the hedge fund managers and investors, would have felt a sense of either panic or impending doom. But aside from a precipitous decline in share price there is no other indication that things might be amiss–completely unaware in the parallel universe 99% of humanity lives in and where their company retails products, Sears and Penney’s have long been laughingly dismissed in the past tense.
